Have you ever been to Lush? It’s the coolest store. It’s a store entirely filled with natural, non-animal tested, awesome body products. As you know, I’ve been on a mission to find all natural products that don’t suck. Not an easy challenge.
You hit a wall of delightful smells about ten feet outside the door in any direction before you go into Lush. Mom and I love this store. We went a little crazy with their products the last time we were in the store, so much so that I decided to give you a review of all the goodies I tried. Here’s some Lush lovin’.
- Curly Wurly coconut shampoo
Unlike most coconut shampoos, and there are many of them, this one actually has chunks of coconut in it. You have to work it in to a lather before you put it in your hair, which can be a little bit challenging, but after that it works in to the hair nicely. It’s meant to be really, really hydrating and it is. This is something that is great if you’ve got curly hair like I do. It also made my hair smell divine.
- Jungle solid conditioner
I cannot get over how awesome this smells because it’s so earthy and natural smelling. It’s a little difficult to work in to your hair but it texturizes a lot. My curls didn’t love this product but I imagine for a person with straight hair this product would rule.
- Aromaco solid deodorant
So you’re probably going to start noticing a theme with these products–they all smell really awesome. This one smells like patchouli which is one of my top three favorite smells. It seems to work better than the average all natural deodorant (which you might know is something I’m on a quest for). I honestly really like it and it seems to work pretty well except that it is hard to put on because it’s a very solid, solid deodorant. (**follow up later for the sequel to the Quest for All Natural Deodorant that Doesn’t Suck**)
- BB Seaweed face mask
I love love love this mask!! It’s soothing and super crazy hydrating. It smells good too. With a lot of the Lush masks they need to be refrigerated so it’s also really cooling too, which is nice. I put this on after my skin was having a really bad day and was all red and blotchy. I left it on for about five minutes and it evened out my skin tone. I hadn’t even realized how dry and nasty my skin had become till I washed this off. Amazing difference. I super recommend this product.
So this thing, you’ll probably want to click the above link as a follow up. This thing is awesome. I had never done the sit with your head over a bowl of steamy water to clean out your pores thing before. This little pellet is like a bath fizzy for a face steam sesh. It, as I’m sure you are expecting I will say, smelled so crazy good. It made my skin look all fresh and pretty, plus it deep cleaned. It was SO nice. Really. According to the awesome ladies who work at Lush you can use the leftover water as an astringent. It’s such a cool product. Try this.
