I always bring something sweet to my twin nieces’ birthday. I’m the aunt who gets them all sugared up and then leaves the party. Oddly enough, I think my sister-in-law still likes me.
This year I won’t be in town for their birthday to make anything so I put together a different kind of sweet treat ahead of time. The colorful packaging on Stewart’s soda has a ton of seriously great flavors like Black Cherry, Cream Soda, and Key Lime with colorful packaging to match the sweet flavors. I decided to jazz up a carton of soda for each of the twins.
This was so much fun! I pulled a couple of the bottles out of the carton and replaced them with what else but more sugar. I added rock candy, a couple of lollipops, a pinwheel and a big bubble wand. Then I added some crepe paper tassels, tacked a couple of flowers onto the cartons, and called it good. They’re super cute!
Think of any color combination and you can probably find a Stewart’s flavor that you could use or find one from a different specialty soda company. The possibilities really are endless. You could replace candy treats with flowers, nail supplies, fuzzy socks, art or craft supplies, a flower pick with a gift card–you name it! Maybe I should make another one for my sister-in-law to be sure I stay on her good side . . .
