I think my quest for an all natural deodorant that doesn’t suck is over. The quest is over, people! Finally!! Here are the final results:
- Aromaco Deodorant
I mentioned this one in my Lush Lovin’ post and I mentioned that it is difficult to apply. I’ve finally figured out how to make it better. The best way to apply it is right after taking a shower while your pits are still kind of damp. It goes on much smoother. It outlasts most others but I am still able to stink my way through it.
Regardless, patchouli is a fantastic under the pit smell.
Ding Ding Ding!! This is my winner!
This all natural deodorant might be the best deodorant, natural and otherwise, I’ve ever used.
The company actually reached out to me after my original The Quest for All Natural Deodorant that Doesn’t Suck post. Considering how harsh I’d been about other products, I figured that was pretty ballsy so I decided to give them a try.
It’s a thick substance but it doesn’t go on thick. It goes on very smoothly actually and it becomes invisible like most other solids. It has absolutely no scent, like for real, not even the unscented baby powder-esque scent most unscented deodorants have. It’s aluminum free (which was really important), paraben free, and as they say, “made with ingredients you can understand”.
The absolute best part… IT WORKS!! It works really, really well! It’s amazing.
The first day I wore it I went out to mow the lawn and was sweating like crazy. I did a bit of exercising after that and not once did I start to smell.
I’m not joking.
The next day, I went running and longboarding in 97 degree weather. Still no stink. We’re talking layers upon layers of sweat and I had no stench.
I’m completely serious.
I’ve put Native to the test and it’s passed with flying, technicolor, dreamland colors.
Some days when I’ve worn it I’ve doubled up with the Aromaco deodorant just for the patchouli smell I love so much. I’m a delightful hippie flower on those days and I’m finally not worried about smelling gross.
I’m still going to give the Honest Company a try just to follow through on my testing, but for me, Native is the winner.
I recommend this product to everyone.
