Is it hot enough for you? My guess is . . . Yes. If you’re a vodka drinker, like me, I have the perfect cocktail for you–the Kamikaze. In the summer heat, after a long week of work, this lime-flavored vodka drink is just the ticket to help chill things out. I’d love to pour one for you.
All it takes is some vodka, lime juice, and Triple Sec but a lot of the time I like using tonic water instead of Triple Sec. That would make this drink a cross between a Vodka & Tonic and a Kamikaze. Does that make it a Kamitonic or a Tonikaze?
It’s easy to keep the ingredients on hand and shake one up for your friends and family when they drop by. Don’t use fake lime juice; use the real stuff and make it good.
- 2 oz vodka (of course, citrus flavored vodkas work)
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz Triple Sec or tonic water
- martini shaker
Combine the vodka, lime juice and Triple Sec or tonic water in an ice filled martini shaker. I use a jigger because I don’t eyeball measurements very well. Shake and strain into a glass. Garnish with a lime wedge. Sip and be refreshed. If you order a Kamikaze when you’re out, you need to specify whether you want a cocktail or a shot.
Go for this. It’s more to drink, it tastes better, and you deserve it.
