Flowers and Paper are two of my favorite things. I also love paper flowers so now and then I’ll make some. Nothing soothes my psyche more than sitting down to do some paper crafting because the time just disappears. It’s too bad I can’t cut and paint and collage and embellish all the time.
Anyway, I had some cute 4th of July paper and on a whim started punching flower shapes.
The next step was to curve the flower petals because who wants flat flowers? Not me.
To curve them you need to put the paper onto a piece of foam because when you roll the stylus around on the paper, it absorbs into it–gives a little, rather than just being pushed on and crushed. My fingers had paint on them because I built a bench that day too. It was a good day!
In the end I painted some foam balls and pinned all the flowers to the balls. I pinned a ribbon to each one so they could be hung and they are adorable on my hutch that matches the light blue in the paper. It’s too bad I can’t take a picture of that hutch (because of the glass) to save my life.
