It has been years since I used puffy paint. I have to be honest and say I haven’t missed it, but I found instructions I’d written for a project that called for puffy paint so I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be the easiest project ever, a lot of fun, and pretty dang cute. Like I always say, If I can do it, you can do it!
This is what you’ll need:
- Gift bags
- Three gradient colors of puffy paint–red, pink and white would work in this case.
- A heart pattern–in this case a cookie cutter.
- A pencil to draw your pattern with AND a new eraser on the end of it.
Squeeze the three paint colors out.
Push the flat pencil eraser into whichever color paint you’re going to use and then transfer it to the paper using the pencil line as a guide.
You can do the lighter colors more than once to darken/fill them in.
Wipe off the eraser when you’re ready to switch to a new color. Fill in the three colors in the heart any way you like. After the paint dries (overnight), erase the pencil lines.
Fill your adorable bags with something excellent!
These puffy paint gift bags are kind of adorable. Just sayin’ . . .
